KATRINA may KUT the BLACK VOTING POWER

Why were black parents separated from their kids?

Even if a parent was in a serious medical condition like dehydration, sickness, and / or hunger, that would be the wrong time to separate child. You would just cause more stress on both sides of the equation. And now that over 500,000 blacks have been displaced, our voting power has been diluted in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Most states have residency laws that state a person must live in a city, and/or state for 2 years or more in order to vote in local/state elections. That means that half a million African-Americans will not be able to vote ( just imagine the resmuglican folly -- 90% of African American vote democratic).
