Haggard: I'm cured!!! Praise Jesus
Go ahead laugh......you knew it was cumming coming :-)
Big-SmileyThe New Monstrosity.....or is that Ministry
In my walk with Christ, I am compelled to do daily self-inventory. Taking a soil survey to make sure that good "seed" is being planted, not only by myself, but by others ( a sort of cross-pollination; also known as good/bad influences ). The Bible says "...a tree is known by its friut..." - Matthew 12:33 -- and to "...Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth..." - 2 Timothy 2:15. So I'm writing this because of some rumblings in the body of Christ. I'll start with a specific example then I'll try to broaden the picture to show that "the truth does matter" and how you present the truth matters as well.
A day or two ago, there was a "War on Christianity" conference, in which of all people, Tom Delay was a speaker. Now, my contention is not that Delay spoke at the event, the contention is how he was introduced. A very subtle mangling of religious persecution, and political persecution. This is the way, Rick Scarborough, the conference organizer, introduced Delay:
1) Tom is being "maligned" and spoken ill of because he wants to "govern" in a Christ-like way, and because 2) he against liberal activist judges.
That's so ridiculous....he [ Delay ] is being maligned because he was indicted on criminal charges of money laundering and breaking Texas campaign finance laws...............excuse me..............law (Texas has one main campaign finance law, and Tom Delay managed to break it ) not because he's "christain".
To even imply that christain values include money laundering, strong-arming political opponents, violating redistricting laws is abhorrent. And to have phonies like Janet Parshalls, and Pastor Rod Parsley, a man who I had watched with my mother and thought the world of ( until I heard a tape "smuggled" out of one of his "non-televised" sermons, in which he literally implied that they would violate IRS rules on church entities endorsing candidates, by have his church, World Harvest Church, endorsing current republican Lt. Governor Michael Steele)
However, it is all a mute point because "...no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States...", The Constitution, Article IV, Clause 3. I believe, though, those of the ilk that attended this conference would prefer the Bible to be the law rather than the Constitution, which allows those very same people to worship, freely and securely.
Their needs to be a reclaiming of the true word of God. One that is not tied to shady mega-preachers, lobbyist and their fudiciary contributions disguised as "faith-based" initiative grants, and phonie "prayer warriors", who themselves are getting a cut of the chedda' (hip hop lingo).
Let's remember that Jesus did all he did............without a dime going to him. People welcomed him into their homes, and fed him, conversated with him ( what it must have been like to talk face-to-face to God about world issues, for that matter people issues ). We need to take care to share the real truth about Jesus -- which is his love, mercy, and forgiveness; he loves you in spite of , not because of -- because some of us are just "babes" in Christ, and some are "mature" in Christ. And to wrongly conjoin the Word of God, as supposed to rightly dividing it, is despicable and violates one of the 10 Commandments......"Thou shalt not bear false witness"...........................forgot about that one didn't you conservatives.

A prayer for season (Merry Christmas)
On this Christmas, a time when it is more commercial than spiritual we need to realize the reason for the season -- Jesus Christ
Oh Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your beloved son to us; to live among us; to never forsake us even in our sinful childish ways. You had search through time itself looking for someone to make a covenant with to restore man from the fall from grace. Our forefathers, Moses, Abraham, Elijah served you well, but still fell short of your glory. You knew that the only covenant that would stand the test of time, and restore man was a covenant with yourself. And so you sent your son into the world to be the guiding light. And on Calvary when Jesus died the covenant was completed and sign in Jesus' precious blood. And when Jesus rose with all power in his hand the covenant was made permanent among the heavens. Thank you Jesus for restoring a wretch such as I. To God be all Majesty, Honor, Glory, Beauty, and Praise. You are my Lord and Savior!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!

Happy Holid.......I mean Merry Christmas
I was trying not write on this because it is so absurd. The idea that liiiiiiiiberals are trying to take Christ out of Christmas is so ridiculous. There are more important things to worry about than whether or not Macy's greets you with "Happy Holiday", or "Merry Christmas" -- You do know that the derivative of the word holiday is a conjunction of 2 words, holy and day. So in theory either expression is appropriate. The fake christians Jerry Followill, Peter Dobson, Tony Perkins, etc. says that America is 98% Christian (they also imply that means 98% of the people are resmuglicans). So lets just walk down that yellow brick road shall we:
( WWJD ) - WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?- In the last election the vote tallies were 49% for John Kerry and 51% for George Bush. Assuming all of 51% of Bush's side is CHRISTIAN, you would still need 47% of liberals to max out that 98% number conservatives love to quote.
- The ACLU is not standing against christianity, in fact ACLU stands for everyone's rights to worship, AND NOT WORSHIP IF THEY SO CHOOSE --

- There is genocide going on in Darfur, Africa right now. Did not the world say "NEVER AGAIN" when the Rawaanda genocide occured.
- Pornography generates $30+ billion dollars yearly worldwide. America's part of that is ~45%. So if America is 98% christian then there is only 2 conclusions, either:
- 2% of the american populous is buying a hell of alot of porn, or
- 98% of you are LYYYYYING
How about we exhibit a Christ spirit, like clothing and feeding the poor, instead of worrying non-issues. Michael Moore said it best, "...you can't get into heaven without a permission slip from the poor..".
Merry Christmas
Happy Kwanzaa
Happy Hannukah
Happy Holidays to every one on earth!!!!!!
